I am traveling to Australia occasionally for business.
I am a moderate level wind surfer.
I am looking for info about places to rent gear and surf.
Any info?

Gear Rental - SHQ - Sandringham and RPS the Board Store a little closer to the city. Inverloch down the East Coast has manly beginners gear to choose from and I think there is a place on from Lorne down the West Coast that also does something
Lots of places around Port Phillip bay to choose from. Popular spots seem to be Green Point and Point Ormond however will vary depending on wind strength and direction.
If you are prepared to travel - Geelong, Lorne, Warrnambool along the coast to the West and Phillip Island, Inverloch and Sandy Point to the East.
By no means a comprehensive list but post up on the Forum when you are in town and I am sure everyone will let you know where they are heading, what conditions to look out for and how to get there

Last Saturday (18-Oct) a qualified instructor I know by the name of john set up his first day down at Torquay. Brand new hire / lessons business there.

When you enter Torquay from Melbourne/Geelong side take a left at the very first set of lights you see. He is set up at the end of that road where it runs out and becomes a car park overlooking 1 of Torquays beaches.

If ever you are in that neck of the woods of a weekend he is sure to be there.
