Hi guys,
Going to finish my Skydiving qualifications by spending 5 days in Nagambie. Bring it on! Question. Is it worth taking my windsurfing gear down. I notice the lake is quite large but I am unsure if its sailable.
Anyone been on the lake down there?

Hi Gary,

I drive past the lake every now again. It might be alright, but I think there may be some rowing markers/lines (marking lanes) which may get in the way. I'm not sure how deep it is and you may find there are submerged logs. It is reasonably large, though there area a lot of Red Gums around the edges. Have never heard of anyone sailing or windsurfing there, which makes me a little suspicious of the potential for submerged logs.

If you have speed sailing gear, there are a lot of constructed irrigation canals in the area running at many angles of the compass and often free of trees! No room to gybe though and I couldn't guarantee there wouldn't be submerged objects.

Cheers, Scott
