We have a wedding to go to in late November trying to work out if its worth staying a week and attempting to get in some windsurfing ??
Apparently there is a belief that somehow spring get the strongest winds... so we do silly stuff like hold speedsailing competitions. ![]()
Must be getting old because I can hardly remember. Think I remember groups of really windy days over 35knots and then low patches for up to a week. I kind of remember being annoyed because I was on early Uni. holidays with not much wind.
If you are coming at the start of November, a lot of sailors go to Sandy Point for the Melbourne Cup long weekend (31st Oct - 3rd Nov) -> speed sailing and wave sailing withing 10mins drive of each other.
November water temp is about 5deg warmer than it is now, and we are currently using a 4/3 or so -> November you can quite easily use a 3/2. Some people even get out using a shorty+heat-shield.
What about the waves im a bit of a wave junkie not talking about bump and jump i mean down the line sort of stuff
Where is the Victoria's version of Gnaraloo or Margrets?? not asking for any secret spots there will only be one of me and i promise not to drop in!
