Looking at feeding my windsurfing addiction and taking tomorrow afternoon off work and getting on the water.

the current bom forecast is really confusing me...

Thursday
North to northwesterly wind of 30 to 40 knots turning more westerly at a similar
strength during the morning. Wind tending northwesterly and easing to around 25
knots during the afternoon but increasing gain to 25 to 35 knots at night.
Waves 2 to 3 metres abating to 1 to 2 metres during the afternoon before rising
to 1.5 to 2.5 metres at night.

if it's west, its Ricketts, if it's NW its Green Point however if you are at Ricketts on the West and it goes NW is it still OK? Or if you are at GP on a NW and it goes West....

Welcome your feedback (mind you this question maybe irrelevant if the forecast changes :) )

Also is there an ideal location for a WNW wind in Melbourne?

Thanks
Rick
