Hi everyone!
With the end of winter nearing it's time to get back out there in the waves again.
This year we again have a mix of 'roaming' and 'fixed' dates on the calendar to maximize our chance of scoring some fun wave sailing conditions to suit all levels of wave sailing.

The idea behind the roaming dates is that an event can be called 'ON' at the last minute based on a good forecast. The system for calling an event ON will start on the Thursday an email & SMS will be sent out to inform everyone that we are watching a forecast and hoping for a weekend event. A confirmation email & SMS will then be sent out on the Friday either confirming the event & location details or calling it off.

If you received email's & SMS last year, then you are on the data base still. If you are new here please email your email & phone number to admin@vicwavesailing.com.au and we will make sure to add you to the distribution list. We are also on Facebook at www.facebook.com/VicWaveSeries so you can follow whats going on there as well.

Roaming Dates:
Roaming event window is from September 1st & ends the last weekend of March

Fixed Events:

3-4/9/11
1-2/10/11
29-1/11/11 CUP WEEKEND
3-4/12/11
11-12/02/12
10-11/03/12

*Maximum of 2 events per month

VWS events will not clash with the following existing events:

22-23/10/11 - WV race series
20/11/11 - ZU
27-28/11/11 - Mambo
17/12/11 - RPS Sternchaser
15/01/12 - SHQ Breakwater to Beacon
NATIONALS - TBA

Looks like there is some swell and a bit of wind for Sunday so make sure you get out and get some practise in!

Board arrived from WA today and given the crap wind forecast it might be going in the house! I also think I might need to drop 10kg as it looks fairly small
NO NEED TO COMMENT GINGER POM!

It's that time of year.. when everyone gets new gear & jinxes the wind forecasts!
speaking of which I have some new north sails if anyone wants to test out the new stuff.. maybe sunday will get some Northerly!

85 litres but it looks much smaller when I compare it to my RRD 85 litre. Hopefully we will get some wind this weekend to see if I need to give up drinking and start exercising!
