Pat, Working night shift on Fri and Sat night so I'm hoping I don't get too flogged on Fri night so I can squeeze a sail in Sat Arvo after some sleep..
Fingers crossed!
To all you west side of the bay folk.
Most of us on the east side are better on their 'left foot forward tack' (unsure which one that is). Always been curious if you guys are better on the 'right foot forward tack' because that is what you learn on on southerlies heading into waves?
BOM is still saying 25 knots for tomorrow so will probably be abour 15 - 20 lol.
Brinsmead Lane - down the hill at the end. Nice grass rigging area.
Awoke to no wind but it is starting to build. Hopefully it swings a little more southerly. Prolly head to the lake around 11 - 12
How well do you reckon the Barwon Heads estuary would work as a speed strip in a strong northerly - ie this Saturday?? Looks like it would be a good broad reach heading down towards the bridge.
Keen for a sail too, where do you reckon, i reckon Swanbay would be worth a look, tides going to be low through the day at Barwon Heads.
low tide on the river in this direction gives a great flat water run along the sandbank. Low tide is at 10 but from experience its always a couple of hours late (due to flow)..
Swan Bay is an unknown at the moment and since is going to blow 30knots I personally don't want to hit a sandbar at 30 knots..
Lets hope that the Gods smile on me this weekend and allow me to see the sandbanks before I hit them ![]()
