just wondering who has tried windsurfing there? I saw a guy on here a while ago post a pic of some windsurfers sailing next to a huge ship in the water way and the water was flat as sandy point and it looked real windy and fun. I am thinking of coming down to try it out one day with me buddys.

big ships that don't stop, weird crap in the water, rocks that like to take out fins, gusty wind. flat water though...

I have wondered about that spot too windwarming. Is there any locals from around there that know the strip very well?

...well on my way home from work passed swan bay, williamstown and was surprised to see 4 sailors enjoying flat water, NW wind with a backdrop of melbourne.

I'm informed that once you wade out through the rocky beach to fin depth you can sail very close to the opposite rocky wall - just like Sandy Pt, with rocks.

Good luck, with the rocks.
