In the wife's book a shark is a shark, no matter how small!

Haha, but a 'Porty'? C'mon - poor little guys are the pet lambs of the ocean. I wouldn't have told anyone out of embarrassment!

Funnily enough I've had one latch onto my hand, and there's a fair bit of vice-like pressure there (it would cause a bit of pain if bit on your calf muscle), but apart from that & their tiny raspy teeth, they can't hurt you.

Sharks are awesome - it's just bad publicity surrounding their name & their naturally designed 'evil-looking' facial features...oh, and the teeth probably put most people off too.

The do technically. However, as soon as a shark is born it is abandoned. So I wouldn't worry about it, sharks are not known to care about maintaining the family unit :)
