Hi guys,

I'll be in Melbourne this coming Fri, San and Sun and have managed to sneak a board and a couple of sails down with me. Where will be the best spots within an hour's drive form Melbourne in the bay? Free parking, grassy rigging, easy access to the water, free beer

Thanks for any help...

Thanks for the tips WindmanV.

Will Swan Bay work in a NW? Is it shallow/weedy? Will I need to bring my Delta/Weedy/Pointer? (Space will be limited on this trip)

Swan bay is tide dependant... We either sail weedbeds or channels. Definately will need a weedy/delta. Launch from yacht club southern end of bay. Will hopefully see you there...

Saturday looking good at moment for Swans. You'll need booties as well, mud and wildlife underfoot. Hollywood may have free beer that Red bought

Elwood, Dendy, bonbeach, ricketts, st Kilda, port Melbourne, parkdale, mentone, keast park, McRae, safety beach...

Google thewindmap

Unless your question was relating to somewhere that was exactly one hour away..

If you go somewhere close then you could squander the spare time drinking beer etc
