In the newly voted in legislation 'Australia is going totally f**kin bonkers, lets get em for anything and everything until they drop'.... there will be plenty of new laws,taxes and licences with serious pentalties for non compliance on any activities you enjoy on the ocean...especially windsurfing...
to name a few .
a new 'luxory tax' to be added on top of the GST we are already creaming off you on any brand new JP/NP gear.
All booms / masts and extensions subject to carbon taxing.
jumping; to be taxed at $5 per per 50cm 'cleared' increment... aditional poser pentalies apply for loops
wearing steamers on the beach between the 1st November and 31st Aprl between the hours of 6am and 9pm is now forbidden - $200 fixed penalty
planing is now considered a hooning offence, 3 strikes and your gear gets crushed.
smiling and talking about it with your mates after a great session will be dealt with harshly, $500 fine and 40hr community service to be held at a depression clinic.

I can't see it happening for windsurfers, it would be impossible to police. The cops have a hard enough time keeping people from getting bashed each night in the CBD let alone chasing down windsurfers for licences....
Thats so crap when a thease guys going to get a life. and if they do ask me for mine they wont be able to catch me they can chase me all over port phillip bay for all i care. I just told me brother who is a windsurfer the news he does not believe me. He thinks you guys are mucking around on seabreeze.
so the new laws are:
You are not aloud to windsurf over 5 knots or instant 200 dollare fine. crap
If you are caught windsurfing with out a helmet it's a instant 200 dollar fine. crap
If you are caught rigging on the grass at any beach 100 dollar fine.

If you get caught with out a license they take your windsurfer or kite off you. crap
If you are caught windsurfing with no sunscreen in summer 50 buck fine.
If you are caught windsurfing with out a wet suit in winter 50 buck fine.
If you get caught windsurfing with no life jacket and flares its a 200 dollar fine. crap
Under the new laws every windsurfer must have a RWC done every 6 months at vic roads. crapy
If you are caught drinking and windsurfing you will loose your license for 1 year. dam
and if you dont give way to people on the water. The water police can fine you 150 dollars. crap
You have to pay 10 dollars to use beach toilets. come again
If you are caught doing a little chop hop near people in the water instant 100 buck fine. what??
In the future there will be a fee to enter the water with a windsurfer or kite like 10 bucks you have to pay to the council. now thats dam, spastic
and we soon will be the most watched state. there planting 300 more speed cameras i heard around vic. this one is true. It was in the age last week. they called it the big snap was on the front page of the age about a week ago
now i have a few words i would like to say to the fun police . Look windsurfing is not that popular any way. You guys are picking on the wrong guys. If you bring in this law that we all must have a windsurf license, you are going to kill windsurfing for good. leave us all alone
