I know some guys got out from green point first thing and I saw luke setting out at about 4:30pm but for a day forecast to be 20-30knots it seemed pretty lame.

I drove out to ricketts twice...

Also, what is the best place to sail in a true SW? It's too onshore for Dendy and Ricketts isn't great either.. Green point off the rocks?

".......Green point off the rocks?"...

Depending on the strength of the wind and whether the tide is coming in or not, the shore break can destroy your sail or ding your board, so you need to be careful.

A walk with your gear down opposite the toilets, then lift-off to miss the point. Coming back to the beach will be tricky (watch out for Lone Rock if you go down that far).

The wave ramps in front of the car park at its northern end can be great.
