I'll swap a Kingston Foreshore permit for a Bayside Foreshore permit. I think Kingston includes Ricketts down to Chelsea.

Out of interest, does the Kingston permit have a rego on it and is it a permanent sticker? Bayside beach permits issued to residents aren't attached to a rego but are required to be permanently stuck to your window. Wondered whether the parking inspectors would spot some skulduggery if there were 2 obviously 'resident' permits from different councils attached to the same windscreen.

No no rego. Just an orange permit with September 2012 expiry.

If you can buy a Bayside parking permit why couldnt you have 2 permits? Curious.

I enquired with the council as to their beaches the permit coveres and they guys are right its from Mentone to Seaford.

You can. The inspectors are concerned only about whether the vehicle is showing the ticket or pass applicable to that site.

Until recently, I had a Kingston and a Bayside sticker attached to the windscreen one above the other. No problems from any of the inspectors, even when I was asking them about other matters and they were right in front of the windscreen.

Not sure if Kingston sells the tickets (tried to buy one 4 years ago and was blown out of my socks by a snotty Council employee), but, as others have noted, Bayside do.

For info, Kingston passes end on the east side of Charman Road and Bayside passes begin on the west side.

Hope this helps.

jermaldan, I'm confused, are you selling or wanted to buy a pass? If you want to buy a bayside parking pass you can do so at any time for $180 bucks?

Am I missing something?

Isn't it just much easier to buy one... also do you get one or two when you purchase for $180. If it's your investment is only $90 :)

Some people rig up, then go and park on Beach Road which is free. Also, the old fitness place across the road from GP has folded and there's this gynormous car park which is not being used.

Saw signs up at Elwood today saying that Beach Road is to be closed on Sunday 10 October. Couldn't see exactly what section of the road was to be closed. Does anyone know?
