IWC Invitational Race Day 5th or 6th December

Open invitation to all windsurfers whether IWC members, WV members or non members of any organisation

Location: depending on forecast - Either Inverloch, Sandy Point, Point Henry/Swan Bay

One day will be nominated from the dates above, on Wednesday night depending on forecast
Red light/Green light system will run with final green light called on Friday 4th December

GPS Freerace will be the feature of the day however other racing formats will happen on the day depending on the conditions So those without GPS's can still be involved. Other racing formats will allow for all skill levels from advanced beginner to experienced.

Race day will run in conditions from 10 kts to 30kts so bring longboards, short boards and anything inbetween.

Entry Fee IWC Members $10 Guest members - $20 Guest members can attend one IWC event for insurance purposes. If they chose to attend more they will be required to become an IWC member with $10 from their first event fee being refunded against their membership fee.

SUNDAY Forecast models are suggesting an Easterly so pack your bags to head to Area 45
Mahers Landing Rd Inverloch - Just 5 minutes out of town.

Wind is between 10 - 20 kts depending on the forecast model you look at. So first green light. Will update Thursday and Friday nights

Second green light for SUNDAY at Area 45 Mahers Landing Road Inverloch

Direction is holding at Easterly and increasing in strength all day from 10 - 20kts

Hope its a great day on the water and all goes smoothly, unfortunately I can't make this one.

Oh watch out for ejmack in the freerace, he has been talking it up!

Third green light. Forecast of 12 - 20 kts Easterly

Area 45 Boat Ramp Mahers Landing Rd Inverloch
10 am Start. Come early and help set up.
4pm finish - depending on wind

GPS Freerace sessions by 2

One other race format will be decided on depending on skills and conditions.

BBQ sausages and drinks will be available for a donation

Well done everyone, sorry I couldn't be there as sounds like it was great fun.Congrates to Pete for winning the freerace ....

Great event and writeup! We had a great day, on and off the water. Stoked to get back down to Inverloch more often. Thanks Doug, Dan, Postie and Rob for putting the event together!

Ditto Craig. Onya Pete and competitors.

I'm really pleased it went so well and can't wait for February's Race Day No. 2!

Our focus now as a club will be to build on this great start and to encourage more participants and volunteers.

More to come soon on those objectives! Relaxed, Fun & Safe! That's the key.
