I haven't been out on the water for a few months. I didn't run off with the circus, Hare Krishnas or Taliban.

Headed out for a light wind cruise today on the Mistral one design. Upwind to West Head then back over around the lighthouse and in to East Beach.

Only 10-12 knots of wind, nice smooth sea conditions. Low Head BOM showed gusts to 16 knots, but never got close to that- only just white capping. Tide was pretty low, so needed to dodge a few shallow reefs.

Great Sunday afternoon cruise. I didn't set any speed records, but probably clocked up best part of 30km all up.

I think GPS devices don't last nearly as long under wetsuit fabric (harder to talk to satellites maybe?).

They'd need to learn to tack in under 10 knots, or keep a longboard in the water in 40 knots.

Maybe better off joining the Hare Krishnas.
