Hey,
Just a quick query to this forum if anyone has any learner gear they would be willing to sell or loan/beg/borrow/steal? I ve just moved down to a new place right on the beach and although ive surfed and sailed all my life ive only tried windsurfing a couple of times so id be looking for a board with large litre and a complete rig. Any help greatly received

Hi Hugh,

Talk to Damo at jaysails.com.au
He knows if people have stuff in their shed etc.

Also look into the windsurfingtas.org where there is some learner gear available.

You'll only use this to get started then quickly progress and feel the need to buy some great gear here in the buy and sell

Hugh if you live in the south we can lend you a board.

Windsurfing Tas have learner boards that we lend out....they're big boards, very stable and you'll be sailing in 30 mins or less.

All you need to do is join WT as a social member ($35) then a donation of $10 per week, this helps us pay for repairs and upgrades.

This is a great option to start then after about 4 weeks on one of these boards you can go for a higher performance board. It's not really worth buying a learner board as you'll grow out of it in a few weeks.

If you're interested in borrowing a board give me a call on 0417 577888 or Damien Wallace.
Also check out the retailers on the WT website
