For those who dipped in the brine late this arvo at Dorans it is instructive to look at the Droughty recording for the period. Generally take about 4kts off to get surface speed but peaks are still interesting. Vietzy are you sure the 5.7 was the right sail for the moment.

WOW it did peak up there No wonder i was way over powered on the 5.3, even though it needed a bit more downhaul.

thought just another borans road gusty nor nothwest 2 run wonder almost packed up then 30nt fairly consistant 5.7 great for flat water----- note to windy head up wind relax take it easy down wind when comfortable bigger is better the missus sez maybe a 4,7 would have been better had a blast in control most of the time good to have windy 2 hours wild turkeys all round with the buzz and the a.man good to see the crew having fun
