Hi there. I want to book a weekend away in January for my husband and his best mate as a Christmas present. They used to be mad keen windsurfers, but haven't had a windsurfing trip together for many years. I'd be most grateful for any suggestions for a reliable windsurfing location around Tassie, and any accommodation tips too. They live at opposite ends of the island. Cheers!

Hard to go past Stanley on the NW coast for varied discipline and reliable wind.
Only thing missing here is hard core wave sailing.. plenty of bump and jump/small waves and speed sailing available.

If big clean waves is the idea Marrawah would be a good choice but in my opinion Stanley gets more regular salable wind.

Have to agree with Ben. For a reliable spot with pretty much all directions covered I'd go for Stanley. Accommodation shouldn't be a problem either if you book. Caravan park, hotel, holiday houses all available.

I agree with previous posts about Stanley. I was going to suggest Tankgirl look at the spot guide listing for Stanley, but noticed that there isn't a listing for it. I am happy to make a listing, but I'm sure there are others with much better knowledge of the area than me who could do it (or fill in the gaps).

Tankgirl have you looked at the Spot Guide that's got most of the sailing spots in Tassie on it.
Johnny be good if you could do Stanley as it's the one of the best spots in the state. I'll check the guide and see what I can add but I can't do Stanley I don't know it well enough............ Though I could do Stanley to Port Latta in off shore light wind with a hitch hike back
