Hi it's westerly winds Tomorrow is any one riding bell boy beach or greens beach?
Wind is 20 to 30 knots. Or is anyone riding northern Tasmania tomorrow, I will come & join as I am a visitor to tas.
Hi Andy, If east beach or bell bouy get sailed tomorrow it will probably be around low tide in the arvo.
If you dont get any bites then this site will help you pick a decent spot without a local escort: www.thespotguide.com.au/TAS/index.html
Andy,
As BFlood implied, Bellbuoy is rubbish on a high tide with anything other than west or north of west - today is forecast to be south of west. That said, if the tide is half out, or further, it is fine in anything around almost to SW.
East may be a better bet if the tide is high, or hold off until early to mid afternoon.
Bakers Beach, a few headlands west of the mouth of the Tamar, will be working today if there is enough wind. It is not tide affected, but you need a parks pass (which you can purchase on site upon arrival), and it is a longer drive.
And, if you are here for the weekend, use this site to get in touch with us - we will sail either Bellbuoy or Greens I would think. Greens is brilliant in anything WNW or more northerly.
Alan Jason and I are going to bell bouy for a look early this morning hope the tides still far enough out. In the arvo we are heading for the west cost so will miss the afternoon low tide.
Thanks Gillian, can you tell me what it was like after your session?
I might get on it this afternoon.
I hope the waves are good.
