Izaak, James and myself have been sailing at Bakers beach recently as it is the closest spot with some decent wave. It was a tad on the small side on sat but thought i should post some of the footage we got none the less!

The use of strong language is not welcome on this forum
But being that is pretty sick stuff you're trying to pull off we can turn a blind eye......................pretty gutsy, won't be long when you're landing and sailing away.
I need to get up there Bakers looks like a great spot to learn

What I was trying to say is that Bakers is an awesome spot and higher on my list of fun places to sail than Bell Buoy(Fk yeh!) Pretty keen to get back there one day

Go Pro have a free app which allows audio to be removed/replaced easily....worth considering...some might be offended by what came out in the excitement of the moment

Jordo did say 'warning'. But it may be best if you go to settings on the video Jordan, and mute the sound....

Yes Sat was on the light side, below boom height. Cross on 12-16knots...Good fun to muck around in. This day is from the footage... Got very close to landing a few backies as shown. It was very hard to land/sail away. Due to the light winds. But good practice.

Friday arvo (the day before) was the best i've been out in at Bakers. The swell was pealing down the break wall, Cross shore-cross off winds @ 25-35knots. With an easy 3/4mast waves. We basically sailed from 3pm-7PM!! The wind never dropped and making daylight savings worth every bit!

Thanks to John Potts & the Nomadics, their info on Bakers (will be one day put on thespotguide.com.au)

Bakers Beach
This beach sits at the end of a national park - so parking permits are required. It is a long sandy beach with plenty of jumping waves. It is not uncommon to score cross to cross of conditions. Seems to work best if you get 18-24 hrs of strong NW and then a Westerly or WSW change. You need a forecast with plenty of power. If the wind forecast is 30-40 knts then it will work. If its 20-30 then I would consider Bell Buoy instead.

Bakers is accessed from the road joining Exeter to Devonport.

General - Great jumping with far more potential for cross off sailing than Bell Buoy or Low Head. Low Head area picks up more wind and swell size but it is not as well groomed.

Another epic session after work with the other frothers! Big big swell perfect ramps. Sails until dark!

Apart from breaking my little toe and going through my sail. It was a good day! Landed a backie and attempted a stalled forward, hence the damage haha

James and jordo witnessed the Backie, The sail damage......Well that explains the attempt of the forward.

Felix, Lachy, Geoff, Al and I had a great sessions at Bakers today. Not to mention our friends learning to sail on a starboard start. Wind varied anywhere from 5 - 35 knots with shoulder high sets
