This weekend in the south

Might try the Lagoon if the wind comes in?

Yep i'm going to the lagoon later even if there isnt much wind, because Claire is keen to sail if the winds light If not light i sail perfect!

Yes the wind certainly came in the north for the week, I sailed greens beach, Monday tuesday and Thursday. Thursday certainly stretched my arms. Might have to look at a smaller sail i used my 6.2 and had my hands full. Certainly character building. Had one nice hooked in launch, luckily I wore my helmet for the first time, I hit the mast fairly hard. I'm keen to get over to low head (Lagoon) for a flatwater sail, hopefully next weekend will shape up. Might catch you there Al and try out the Kode if I can

A 6.2 in Thursdays conditions would have definitely stretched the arms, it was smokin' windy.

There could be a bit of a westerly blast next weekend, maybe, it would be great to see you over at Lagoon, you are more than welcome to take the Kode for a blast. I loaned it to Chris on the Thursday and he sailed it with a 4.5, that was probably the upper windrange for a 70cm wide board and an 80 kg rider, though he still had an impressive amount of control.

Last weekend was pretty quiet, wind wise, (and I had to work most of Saturday)though Ben probably still got a few planing runs on the 150l board with an 8m sail. I spent Sunday teaching the kids to sail (which means rigging a 1m sail on the 122l Kode and trying to keep up as they sailed across Pilot Station lagoon). Running after a five year old and a seven year old as they sail 100m runs in waist deep water is a major work out.
