Yep I'm keen Russ we might need to pack the light wind gear as well, but will see what the forecast does..

Hi Russ, I can only sail this arvo. Dave and I are probably going to go down the channel and check out another new spot

Yep, planning to head down to Verona Sands around 1pm and sail out into the middle of the bay and check out how flat the water is behind the fish farms. It's about 10km out in the middle of the bay at a place called Zuidpool Rock. I'll be wearing my PLB and taking my phone, as anything goes wrong, it's Bruny Island or bust ...

Didn't end up getting to go out. Was looking good and rigged up with Steve, but wind dropped out

Probably lucky the wind died before you got out there. Wouldn't like to be trying to waterstart, or slowly drifting, alongside the salmon farms. I'd be thinking, mmm, what's around waiting for escaped salmon?, and mmmmm, what's around waiting for those seals waiting around???. Or is that just toothy fish paranoia?
