Too early to get worked into a lather, but there is some chance for a Friday arvo / Saturday arvo blow in the north - Saturday looking the better of the two at the moment.

If these number increase in the next day or two we might get lucky, and if there is warm weather about a supplemental seabreeze is also on the cards.

As I said, tides are not exactly brilliant, and the bumps small too, but if there is any North in it, the tide doesn't matter so much, and getting on the water is priority 1.

Might I add, for those who have been debating (alone, not in large numbers) getting their wave career kicked off - this may represent a really good opportunity.

Looking better.

BOM is still not convinced, but MSW seems to be the most reliable up here.

Sailed Coles beach at Devonport this arvo an it was great. Constant 20-25 knots with 1-2 m swell. Tomorrow arvo looks similar on MetEye. Again no other devo sailors. Why doesn't anyone sail up on the coast?

Flouro1's phot looks like a pretty cool playground!

There were three out at Stanley's western side yesterday, up here for the weekend. Sing out if you're sailing around Devonport, I spend 90% of time sailing on my pat malone. There is also a northern sailors WattsApp group.

For anyone who may be in the area (Low Head), today is shaping up as per yesterday, so it may be a nice afternoon on the water for the last day of the year.

There was some discussion yesterday afternoon of an 'all in' wave sail. There may be as many as 5 on the water, newbies and all. The plan was to see what East has to offer when the wind comes in. It blew all night so with some luck the little ramps of yesterday may have picked up a bit too.

Aiming for a post-lunch launch.

Good luck today. I'm missing that feeling and a couple of hundred K's away.... 2 weeks of holidays and the wind disappears. I'm willing to call it as my fault!?

Grevil, it must be either you or Greenie - the jury is still out.

Today's forecast still looks good, and BOM seems to think that tomorrow is going to do it too, although Seabreeze does not concur.

The weather is beautiful at low head today. Clear sunny sky's and windy. Having a quiet morning and attempting to save my energy for the afternoon sail as feeling the effects of yesterday.
