Looks prrety good for tomorrow in the south but not much chop for you guys in the north
SOUTHEAST COAST, Tasman Is to South East Cape:
Sunday: South to southwest winds increasing to 20 to 30 knots early, easing to
15 to 25 knots in the evening. Seas 2 to 3 metres. Southwest swell 3 to 3.5
metres.
Good, I should be able to get out tomorrow. Got stuck doing a few odd jobs today, missed out on all the piscatorial action, hope you got a photo Houston to prove your catch claim (and I bet Morgan actually caught it).
It looked almost in the backyard so I did a drive around 11:30 12.
But no not quite enough. The lagoon was dead, sandpits nearly, but nope
ahh well
I’m keen to sail in winter as long as theirs enough wind for a descent sail. Might have to look at getting some gloves for winter though, any recommendations?
hard to sail with gloves, I've tried several and ended up with road bike gloves but even those give me the s.... , a good wet suit, booties and a hood just about does it and put up with the painful hands
I've not tried it, but apparently the washing up gloves are the best.
They are thin enough to allow you to grip, but thick enough no to break, and server the job of keeping the wind chill off.
Houston has some pink ones with leopard skin liners, ask him and he'll show you in the back of his van
Mmmm I think I would rather my hands freeze than wear washing up gloves, so it sounds like it’ll be just grim and bear it. haha I think I’d be too scared to look in the back of his van if he has stuff like that in there! ![]()
Look guys you're now getting personal, what happens in the back of my van is my business and FOS what are you doing snooping around and making inuendos about my underware, if you've got a problem with cross dressers go and visit a shrink.
Jez, if you do buy wetsuit gloves get the thinnest ones you can,i.e 1mm. I think O,neil psycho make some. Never tried them but have used a lot of wetsuit gloves and find them impossible to sail in. Hand/forearm ache very quickly.
Some of the guys have used the washing up gloves with success, use a cotton liner inside.
Veitz and Ken Woolford are the guys to speak to.
Cheers
