Perks, I think I remember that, but never updated it. Can you send a link to that session and I'll update it.

Johnny, can you incorporate the "Tassie Spot Records" within your site and maybe make it updatable by the public? Or we can assign someone to do it (I'm happy to). Gets a bit long winded in these forum posts, copy/pasting each time - works OK though!! Might start a new post each time, so it's always the one at the top that is the updated version.

Dave do we have a Chicken Run pb I think this spot requires it's own location pb so we keep an eye on it. My pb is currently 36.2 knots not sure what the record on the Chicken Run is but I would love to keep tabs on this spot.

Well done Russ, didn't know you guys were sailing there today. Had the arvo off so probably could have come down. Dave and I talked about this spot last time I sailed there and I think Dave wanted to keep it all under the Pittwater location

Hi Russ,

A while back we decided we should just call Pittwater "Pittwater", regardless whether we sail the eastern or western causeway. I reckon the Eastern causeway will surpass the western causeway for top speeds soon (and everything else - NM, 1hr, Alpha's).

So, as much as your 36.2 is a record for that spot, we should probably keep the spot name simply as Pittwater.

However, I'm totally open to making two spots (east and west) if that's what we now think?

I think i would love to keep tabs on this spot as it is totally its own location and I feel someone will get 40 there soon which is fantastic I have only sailed there twice last week and today and I can not believe I have never sailed there ever before Its not about me and a pb but just following this spot which I think will get a bit of focus moving forward.

Whoops, just saw Steve's post ...

I think the 'keeping it all together' was so we didn't have too many different spots, but maybe we should include the "Chicken Run" as a new spot!!

For those who might not know, there's a chicken processing plant (Ingham's) right on the point where we're sailing and all of it's effluent pumps straight out next to where we're sailing, in the dark murky waters of Shark Point!!

Whoops, just saw Russ's post.

I think this issue of spot locations started when there was the NM spot up at Port Sorell near the main run that can also produce good 2-seconds. However, it was deemed to still be Port Sorell.

I think back then we were expecting an explosion of spots, but that hasn't really happened, so I reckon we should include that spot up at Port Sorell if we decide to include Pittwater East.

So, unless there are any concerns regarding this, well done Russ, holder of the new "Chicken Run" spot record!!

And Izaak, can you 'name' the NM run spot up where you guys sail and post me your PB session for that spot (I think it was you who got the 2-sec there)?

Excuse the crap video footage (editing, focus and general footage), but this is from the Chicken Run today - featured sailors Russ and Shorty!!

Yep, pretty windy. Gusty near the causeway, but still quite flat a fair distance away from it. Pretty good conditions!!

This is a top spot the wind is bufferting the rig a bit so tension up the lower batterns to keep the draft locked.

Even though you want to stay close to the causeway my peak speeds are slinshot's into deep down wind sailing from the car park.

Fun hell yes!!! and still heaps of unfinished business on this run for everyone

Cheers Russ
