Just an update for this Fri. If we get over 14 sailors the committee will give us $750. If we get over 21 sailors we get $1000. If this happens we can do more prize money and lucky draws.
Cheers Steve.

Forecast is looking not too bad. 10/15 knot SE seabreeze. Temp 27 so should be a good day. I will bring a carton of beer too.

I have posted on WT facebook page that I can bring a few longboards for those who might want one, and also that PFDs will be available for a very reasonable fee from WT for the event. Please let me (or someone else) know well in advance if you would like either.

I can rustle up about three ODs/raceboards myself, and if there were more takers I would either ask around for ODs (eg relic) or get some rios from WT.

If there are more than 3 takers I will deal with it as required.

The ODs will be hot contenders if the wind is light (and a trip down memory lane too).

Can't be at the last minute though.

The division 2 board is not up for grabs.

All over for another year. Such a fantastic day with 16 entrants. Wind was around 12-14 knots seabreeze, so not quite as windy as expected. Thanks to the Sandy Bay Regatta Association for putting up $750 in prize money. Results are in and a big well done to Will, Kazza and Ferg.
First place and back to back winner Will Short $350.
Second place Karen Robertson $250
3rd Fergus Charles $150
4th Dave Morehead
5th Allen Short.
$50 lucky door prize Dave.
Thanks Clarence who drove from Launceston. Great effort. Be good to get some more from up north next year.

Lets aim for 20 entrants and $1000 prize money next year..........

Great to be involved with this event. A shame the D2 didn't get a run, but such a variety of boards and abilities on the water. Maybe a "plastic/One Design category next year? Great to see a lady and "junior" right up there.

Here a few pics thanks to Max.

Photos were by Max using my camera. Takes after the old man both on the water and in photographic skills it would seem.
