There are Green arrows for the north on Sunday, and if the wind does actually appear I will run Races at Lagoon beach Low head.
For those northern folk unfamiliar with the colour green (its been a while!!!) green is the colour of Kermit The Frog..

Certainly it is possible to course race in the Tamar with the dinghy sailors around a traditional triangle. There can be a few other windsurfers sometimes and occasionally there are just dinghies.

Racing at Low Head will just be slalom style assuming that the wind comes in as forecast. The course will be decided on the day depending on who wants to race and their abilities. I am quite happy to run a couple of different races if that's what people want.

One of the guys at Low head has a Starboard rio for sale maybe you could check it out on Sunday. I am pretty sure another Low Head Guy has a JP freestyle for sale. Have you bought a car yet?

In theory there are some pretty good ramps in the first basin but I don't think windsurfing will ever be as popular there as it is in the Columbia River Gorge!!

The first King of the Tamar saw Jason Smith and Paul Tenteye taking the crown.
It was a smoking day in more than one way with a hazy start and 30 knots conditions at times.
Two races were held with Paul Tenteye winning the first round followed by
Jason Smith, Alan Cook, James Down, Chris Flood and Paul Brandner. The second race saw Jason crossing the line first followed by, Paul T, James, Chis and Al.

There were also some good conditions at Bellboy in the afternoon with the incoming tide.

I am pretty sure most of the Hobart folk are just social members of WT, which entitles them to drink beer in the Dorens rd car park but not to race slalom.

Rafa,

What size / type / cost of gear are you looking for in the WAVE department? There is a bit about that you may be able to get your hands on...
