Next weekend is the Windsurfing Tasmania Northern Learn to Windsurf Day, which will be at Lagoon Bay.

If anyone is able to come along and help out for all or part of the day, please let me know.

I will finalise details in the next few days. It will MOST LIKELY be on Sunday

This is also a great social event where you can come along and meet lots of other windsurfers of all levels.

The day is organised to coincide with the high tide around late morning.

DATE- Sunday 19th November
LOCATION- Lagoon Bay, Low Head
START- 10.00 am until mid afternoon (say 3.30 depending on numbers and conditions)

People wishing to come along and learn to windsurf need to contact Clarence ionicconstruction@hotmail.com.

We will have a ratio of no more than two learners per instructor/board.

Please bring (if you have them) wetsuit, booties, hat, sunscreen.

Windsurfing Tasmania will provide boards, rigs/sails, PFDs (life jackets) and instruction/safety gear.

There will be a few small rigs (2.5m or so) which are suitable for children/ teenagers (10 years and up).

For insurance purposes, people wishing to come along need to join Windsurfing Tasmania as a social member (cost $35).

Conditions for Sunday are looking fairly good at this stage. High tide is early afternoon, so it will mean a nice sandy bottom for most of the time.

For anyone else who already knows how to windsurf, but wants a few pointers, advice, or to meet other windsurfers, feel free to bring your board and join in.

If conditions are suitable there will be a longboard race in the afternoon- no points or trophy for this one.

Forecast looking good 24 degrees, 10-15 knots cross-offshore and high tide early afternoon.

We have enough people to cover the day, but the more the merrier.

Great day at the beach for the learners and a really keen group who all were up and sailing very quickly. One learner traveling all the way from Hobart to participate.
