In early Dec we are organising a 'Learn to Windsurf Day' in the south. This will be a pretty low key event using the 5 learner boards from Windsurfing Tas and any others that we can dig up from friends. We just get together usually at Dorans with a BBQ and all pitch in helping teach people to learn to sail. Simon Hanson won't be bringing his trailer over from Vic so there won't be any demo boards.

Would be great if we could get a similar day in the north, either on the Tamar or at Hawley, are any of you guys interested, pretty easy and heaps of fun. If you are let me know and we'll get into the WT Curcuit Guide

Any takers

Hello Ant, I'm not much of an organiser and it really isn't in my area but I will put up a hand to help if it gets off the ground.

Sounds good, put Lagoon Bay down for a late November or early Dec date on the calender, definitely a Sunday rather than a Saturday though.

Al, would Sun 20th Nov suit you.

Damien is organising a Learn to Windsurf Day in the south on 3rd Dec.
That would make it a fortnight apart which gives us time to get the 3 WindsurfTas start boards up to you and back for the southern event.

There's also 2 start boards up north which we can organise, I think one is at Port Dalrymple Sailing Club and the other at Devonport.

I'm sure we could get a couple of guys from the south to take the boards up and give you a hand

The RYCT Dinghy Group are having the annual sail-school the first week of September. See: http://www.dinghygroup.org.au/sailschool. For the windsurfers we will be splitting the sailschool into two sections. The first two days (Sat/Sun) will be learn to sail. The following two days will be high performance coaching by a national coach. Interested?

What does high performance coaching mean. Carve gybe, formula sailing, forward loop, sail faster then Dave and Kaleb. In the right area certainly interested.

Wayne, Dave can already sail faster than Kaleb! But I can carve jybe and Dave can Formula! The question is, who's Izaak! Oh! thats right, he's that hotshot young bloke that can't quite top his old man just yet
