I'm going to be on a World Tour of Tasmania over Xmas/New Year, bringing some brand new GW-60 GPSs with me. If anyone in Tasmania wants one, and can arrange to meet to pick it up in Hobart or on the north coast (we'll be everywhere between Stanley and Bridport) you can use the discount code WTOFTAS on the site and get 7.5% off the RRP plus free shipping.
This is a limited time and quantity offer.
I also have three ka72.com annual Pro Memberships to give away to three of the GP5 participants ( www.ka72.com/Login?returnurl=%2fGroups%2fGroup-Activity%2fgroupid%2f15 ). They will be based on positions on 31 December, but I won't give away which positions just yet, don't want anyone gaming the system
!
Kellie (AKA Astrid, AKA The Original KA72) will be along with her wetsuit just in case opportunity presents. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you.
Dylan.
WA next Dylan?
Ill have a brew waiting for you & Kellie.
Haven't been to WA since the turn of the century (literally had NYE on Coronation Beach), so it's about time we went west again I think.
Hi Kazza
We will be in Hobart for 3 days 29-31/12. Heading north after that. Forest doesn't look real good so far wind wise any way really looking forward to our trip and getting away from the humidity we are having at the moment.
Cheers Kellie
Happy to help out with the Tamar river area and Low head ![]()
Guides... guides everywhere
Hi Bearhoover
We are in the Low Head area today and tomorrow. Looks like there could be some wind? Where are all the locals likely to go?
A stronger Easterly would see a few at Kelso but the lighter ones like today tend to not get into the river.
Would be best to look to the waves, East Beach or Bell Buoy. There is another thread running for wave sailing today and unless it gets up to around 25 knots this may be the only option.
We are heading to Stanley tomorrow hoping for some wind! Unfortunately missed the wind in Launceston and Hobart. Still having a great holiday though, so nice to finally be back in Tassie after 32 years. Fireworks ?? from sandy bay accommodation were great happy new year everyone
Enjoy Stanley, hope you get some wind, unreal speed sailing strips, even out in the bay off the caravan park b& j is good fun![]()
And the winners are:
AUS200
TGale
Kaleb
Your complimentary annual Pro memberships will be activated shortly.
(NB: They went to 1st, 5th and second last place holders as of today.)
Thanks Dylan, muchly appreciated. Sorry I didn't get to catch up with you and Kellie in Hobart. Hopefully catch up at Burrum.
Cheers Steve.
Managed to get a sail in at Stanley what a great place! Thanks to Barry for the kit nice to sail with you and Johno would have loved to have stayed longer you have a great spot there
We are over at Bridport now and been checking out the forecast for Sunday on the north coast looks like there could be some wind around? Have sent a PM message to Anthony about Port Sorell.
Weather has been fantastic this week really enjoying our holiday
Enjoying so much that you should come back and live so I have some female company while sailing
See it's not the cold hole everyone thinks it is!!
Port Sorell is looking good at this stage - low tide at 2pm, so sailable between about midday and 4pm.
Phew the world tour of Tasmania is almost over. We've been from Marrawah to Binalong Bay, Stanley to Hastings, driven over 2500km. What a wonderful island!
One GPS left if anyone is interested. Kellie is hoping to squeeze in one more sail tomorrow.
