My very special wife Jodi has just kicked some serious ass in Queensland, winning an international 80km endurance ride. A gallop finish saw her just get over the line in front of some foreign dude and his horse. She beet some of the top international riders. ![]()

Jodi, you're a machine...a true champion in our midst and a welcome relief to see you can kick Buzzy's arse on a horse ![]()

.
Well done Jodi, sounds like a sensational effort. I can't imagine riding 80Km on a horse would be too easy, especially going fast. Stoked for you (and a proud Buzzy).
Well done Jedi, all that hard work is paying off, or is enduro riding a tactical thing? I bet your backside was please to get out of the saddle at the end (and your horsey was pleased to get you off his back), that's a long way.
Thanks everyone! It was the most amazing experience, we started the ride in the dark at 5am Sunday morning, finished the ride in 3hrs 38min 30 seconds, top speed of 49km/h in a gallop finish, won the ride by 1 second! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would compete at such a ride let alone be a front runner and win against people that do this sport as a business! I was pretty nervous when I found out what the owners (Sheikh from Dubai) of the horse wanted me to do but a phone call home to Kaleb telling me to grow some you know whats gave me the confidence I needed. It was the best experience ever, not sure how Im going to top it! Have attached a pic to give you an idea how close it was!
Now here is a real champion!! boys and girls.
There is a great article on Jodi's effort in the latest Eastern shore sun , 'a paper of champions'
well done.
I bet the horse that came second was glad to get that bloke off his back.....interesting riding style looks like he was canning that poor horses back. Jedi I've never seen you look so determined, must be getting lessons from Buzzy![]()
