Sunday looks like one of those horrible NNW direction days, just like SSW days. If the winds getting in there I'll be sailing Lauderdale front beach (very convenient). Otherwise flat water at Pittwater.

Where is the best Rigging spot for Pittwater?

I think the best spot is to rig at 5 mile beach that is off the road to seven mile (turn off after airport) needs to be reasonable to high tide though

I reckon best spot to rig at Pittwater is opposite the nursery on the Sorell end of the eastern causeway. Not a lot of parking (side of road), but heaps of rigging area on the grass, out of the wind only metres from the water. Nice flat water up here, compare to short steep chop at 5-mile. I'll try to get there around midday.

So is the east side of Pittwater better than the west, in a NNW?

Yes, much better, not as gusty and a lot more room to sail.

For those with GPS's, we need points in every category for the GPS TC for September!

A good time perhaps for an impromptu, state-wide GPS5 comp?
