Anyone keen to go? WSW winds increasing throughout the day. Have never really tried it from this direction, as we've always had WNW winds. The run should work well though (potentially even better). I'd most likely drive in Wednesday morning, sail and then head back to Hobart that night.
Sorry Dave I just replied about the spreadsheet post b4 I read this but I'll go if the wind looks good. Can I get a lift in with you for the 4wd bit.?
dad and i are keen for Sunday looks better than Wednesday, also dad is keen to get the new bus a good test, making a box for the tray at the moment.
Yep, Wednesday is no longer looking too good and Sat/Sun/Mon now looking quite promising. I'm keen. Will just keep looking at the weather to see when might be best.
Hi guys . Izaak, i would like to follow you and perks to the henty when you go. Have a spare seat and room on the tray for one more person.
hi Fubbs,
yea maybe we will see how we go, usually 3 three of us stew, dad and i go.not much room left for gear but could probably get you in for the 4WD bit.forecast does not look any good now.
dad will ring you if it looks like were going to go.
Gday izaak. i should have said that i have a 4x4 ute . I just need to follow someone in as i have not been there. Having said that i am quiet happy to take a passenger as long as they can drive up to Wilmot. Not working at the moment so can go any day.
Sounds like we've got some good interest in the next trip in. As Izaak says, just a matter of keeping an eye on the weather for the next big system!!
Dont worry about the wet Fubbs, the tracks not that bad it's the snow thats forecast you might have to contend with if you are going over the Cradle Mt link road.![]()
I would like to take you up on the offer of the spare seat and I can show you the way all we need now is wind.
