Its an expensive sport at the top,
so they say,
Green Island is not cheap, especially if you want to go every year.

Izaak if you want to conquer the world there's only one way to do it and that's sacrifice................. take the week off your studies then get back and work your butt off........................ sacrifice your dad's bank balance and tell him to work his butt off.........................at the end of the day you have a choice...................stay at home and dream for the rest of your life or just get out there and DO IT!!!!!!!!!

Perks you are getting so old you have to look at this as your last chance of stardom.......................you also have a choice..........................you can stay at home and dream till they shove you in a coffin or just get out there and DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!

James I won't spend time mincing with words you're just a young up-start who has the potential to be no.1 in the state and even in the nationals...................Buzzy won't stay on top for ever.........................if you stay at home you'll end up like me, just a bloody dreamer.................................do you really want to end up like me......................if you don't just get out there and DOOO IIIT !!!!!!!!!!

Jordon where are you?? how are you going to feel when Perks, James and Izaak ask you to take them to the airport. They'll be at the airport bar fully pumped, talking about how they can all get in the top ten and how many chicks they can pull on the island (Perks excluded.......or at least not caught)......................come on man that's just not you............................ stop worrying and get out there and DDDDDOOOOO IIIITTTT !!!!!!!!!!

Arr well you can always go to the Devonport airport bar, have a few drinks, pull a few chicks and talk about how it could have been

And there's always next year

Red Thumbs, geez you guys up north are soft. The best way to get even is to get you soft arses up to Green Island and kick my butt, you know I'm a sore loser
Don't blame me, I was told to get stuck into you guys from a higher authority

Aside from all the silly stuff and general banter.
It's a real shame Perks, Izaak, James, Jordan and Steve are unable to attend GI this year. Part of the event was a state versus state award and we were looking really strong as a team. Not sure how they will run it, hopefully 3 entrants results will be enough. At this stage numbers are down on last year, the New Caledonian guys aren't attending as they are racing for a PWA wildcard entry into the event held in their home town.
Just loosing the Tassie and NC entrants drops the number significantly.
Its the guys from all over Aus that stand out in GPSTC results that are of the biggest disappointment to not see their names in the entrants list. This is a National title, I would of thought these guys would be keen to have the chance to compete against the countries best on a level playing field and show what they can do. Victoria with all their talented GPS guys have zero entrants to date. Lets hope we get a few more late entries otherwise the event may be short lived if there is diminished support from sailors Australia wide.
Why cant we all just win tatts lotto and be done with it!

If you can't put the two-and-two of those last two posts together, and scrounge up the dough, you may need 'help'.

Less competition + more women = ...

Come on guys!

Interesting point with regard to the gps guys not being more forward in wanting to compete on a level playing field. Same place same conditions. With the sights this is all part of the fun but for me it certainly provokes thought about true ability. Not only, if your able to make your windsurfer perform to these nationally recognized "good numbers" why not race slalom, the ability is obviously there, or at least unbiased free race. I think some blokes put themselves on a pedestal because of there ranking on the gps sights and aren't prepared to put there money where there mouth is with equal advantage.. conditions and place.. Food for thought anyway, in my opinion there are some soft cocks who are sponsored as a slalom gps sailers based on their online presence but in the ring cant stack up against a guy who isn't getting the support but is a better sailor. Forced comparisons would be interesting.

Obviously general comments not directed at anyone.

My brain must be getting old or I've had too many blonde pills lately but I'm still trying to work out half of what James is talking about. Can someone simplify it for me
