Good solid southerly Monday (nearly 30knots and sunny) lots of Clifton beach fun with a few kites out and about too even stronger wind forecast for next two days things are picking up Highlights; damos push loop crash
Half a dozen of us sailed Nutgrove last night. I've not sailed a seabreese with a 4.7 for a long time. It honked til about 4:30, then slowly fizzed. Which made it a little difficult for Alan to get back from the other side of the river. Kazza's new board went like a rocketship.
Wednesday looking like a howler. Meteye suggesting Westerly and strong at Dorans, Mortimer and Carlton from 11am onwards. Looking at 25-30 around midday, strengthening to 30+ knots early arvo. Backs off slightly late arvo to 25+ with a slight swing to SW. Carlton getting 2-3m swell. For that sort of wind strength, I think I'll get rag-dolled in the surf, so might try Morts or Dorans instead. I like my gear in 1 piece. Preferably not a floppy, ripped and buckled piece.
Great jump Fluro and thanks to Paul for taking time out from sailing to take a few snaps. Wild session and I was over powered with 4.2 most of the time (Fluro was hanging on to a 4.7). Direction was great, the sun was out - would have been ballistic with some ground swell.
