Hello All,

i'm new to Tassie but was here in the beginning (if that makes any sense).
I'm after some reasonably priced epoxy resin, pigment and cloth.
Got some repairs to do thanks to Virgin and a rocky knob.
Thought of checking the Marine Shops but experienced the BST (Bass Strait Tax) applied heavily there before.
Being ingenious and creative people that Windsurfer's are, I thought one of you guys might know exactly where to look.

Hi Ibn

I buy west system and additives from Tamar Marine in Launceston. Seems to be a similar cost to other retail outlets from my experience. They have all the powders, glass matting, a bit of carbon fibre and pigments.

If you are up north and only need a small amount I can give you some (save buying the whole kit).

As far as Hobart goes, I could only suggest the marine shops or there is a fibreglass supply place on Argyle St or nearby.

Got to watch out for those virgins.. reminds me of the joke- Why wasn't Jesus born in Australia? They couldn't find a virgin and three wise men.

Thanks for the offer Clarence,

I had a look in there today and they're about 20% cheaper than Gravelly Beach Marina.
I'll need to get a litre or so but hurts when you're used to getting it for free!

thanks again for responding.

Ben
