The CCC was run on Sunday afternoon on the high tide at West beach Stanley. It was run as a Freerace for the longest distance covered over an hour of sailing. The wind was light to start off with then freshened to over 20knts a little later, pretty much as forecast . Five sailors competed with a few more just sailing around in the great conditions, quite sunny and warm. Al Cook took out first place with consistent sailing in the bumpy chop and as the wind freshened kept powering on. The runs were long, some were over 2nm.
Results:
Al Cook 18.196
Paul Tenteye 17.509
Cookie 14.635
Clarence 14.44
Johno 9.59

Great event and turnout. Brilliant place to sail.

I know Gill was busy taking photos at the end- looking forward to seeing them.

A few photos from before and after I got off the water. Sorry for not getting everyone in a shot.
The high tide and westerly allowed people to sail the full 4kms down the beach, beyond the capabilities of my zoom lens.
The session started with Sanden the lightweight planing in 18 knots but an hour and a half later it was a solid 25 knots. Impressively Clarence sailed even these conditions with an 8 mtr sail on his phantom 295 and Geof was holding down a 7.8.

Great to see your windsurfing and photography at such a high level Sanden.

Just trying to work out if the talent on both fronts is inherited or learned.
