I have had an Anchor long john for at least 10 years that I wore sailing all the time, it has had a lot of use over the years, I really think that they are just fine, they keep improving their designs all the time, I can't fault the one I bought, but I guess it depends on what you want, some people like to buy expensive gear even if it doesn't nessesarily fuction any better that a cheaper product. Of course their range might not suit exactly what you may want in terms of thicknesses etc. Cheers VB

Thanks for the feedback guys I'm after a short wetsuit for the warmer weather (if it ever comes) so they may be the G O, have to go in there to get the zip fixed on my wetsuit so I'll check out their stuff when I'm in there.

And so what is the relevance of "King Of Watersports" as to whether or not Anchor Wetsuits are any good? Looks like spam to me ... [}:)]

Had a quick look for a contact and none to be found unless you supply your email address. Great for local (Australian) shops I'm sure ...

Sorry for any offence caused. I took it from the op's post that he's looking for a well priced summer suit, I just posted another option- I personally don't think anchors locally made suit's are that great, they just don't have access to the raw materials that the higher volume manufactuer's do. I don't really want to get into a debate about local shops vs overseas websites however do you buy all you equipment from "shop's" with storefront's staff etc. Or have you brought gear off a guy that sells out of his garage, has lower margins, doesn't employ staff and therefore can sell for less?
If you buy all your sporting equipment from shops, and never indulge in e-bay etc, by all means take the moral high ground but if not, IMO your angry about degrees of difference.
If I were spamming, i'd expect a kickback, which i'm certainly not receiving- I'm simply recommending a site that I and a lot of my friends use- again sorry for any offence. If you'd like to chat about this more ask caleb to point me out in the pond sometime.

Sorry, I was probably a bit harsh and too quick to comment, just that I clicked on the link thinking it was probably a local site and possibly even that they sold anchor wetsuits, but it didn't appear to be related to the topic (I started to look at the boards they sell), had no mention of where they are based and had no supporting information from you such as "there are some pretty good alternatives at a similar cost, check out this website for example".

Thanks for all the advice, I ended up getting a 3/2 spring suit from Anchor Wetsuits when they had their big sale on. Picked it up for $90 on sale, normally $180 so that was sweet.

Quality of the wetsuit looks good, everyone that I have spoken to has said that they're really good and that they've had their's for years, so time will tell
