More than 12,000 participants from Queensland, interstate and overseas are expected to converge on one of the world's most popular holiday destinations to compete in one of Australia's premier multi-sport events.
The world's largest biennial masters games will showcase competition in more than 40 sports including a vast array of team sports such as netball, softball and baseball as well as individual sports including athletics, archery and taekwondo.
Participants compete in their age group with no qualifying standards or times to enter. The only criteria for entry is a minimum age for each sport.
All sports are located in close proximity to the Games Village at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach which becomes an exclusive hub for competitors.
The event is a celebration of masters sport with both fierce and friendly competition including a jam-packed entertainment program at the Games Village each night.

Obviously i'm a bit too green to attend this event, BUT I had a look at the notice of race and it does say Open Windsurfers. I recon it would be bring whatever you have and the scoring will be yardsticked - much like the bellerive crown series with its different divisions.
The regatta is open to all “off the beach” dingy, multi hull, windsurfer and Hansa classes. The host organisation will accept all board types.

As per the Notice of Race we have opened the whole event to all classes so as to boost numbers rather than leave possible competitors out and as far as racing is concerned. Therefore all windsurfing craft will be accepted. Scoring will be by normal yardstick.
