Although the weather seemed to always be against us last season, the 2011/2012 Calendar still managed to go ahead with three successful events being run.
Two formula races where held in challenging conditions.
Unfortunately due to unfavourable weather conditions the Port Sorell and Stanley events had to be cancelled, leaving only one Slalom race being held at Mortimer Bay in the South.
The success of GPS sailing in Tassie has seen it become an official discipline within WT, with final rankings and contributor points going towards the Overall results.
2012/2013 will hopefully turn on some great conditions for all disciplines. This season the Formula events will be replaced with Course Racing and will be open to any craft. The calendar is still to be discussed and finalised. Stay tuned to seabreeze
We're currently working on a formula to give even weighting to each discipline when calculating the Overall Tassie Champ. I think this years results are a pretty fair outcome, although someones given a red thumb. If your not happy with the outcome of these results or are unsure how things have been calculated please pm me.
I gave you a green thumbs up![]()
