Ya beat me to it Ty. We'll still put on the West coast show. In recent years the comp has gone by the wayside & it's been more of a social surf, sup Wavesail weekend/week, could do some form of comp if a few are keen.
I'll organise bbq again.
Sounds like quite a few of the regulars will be back and is on the the yearly "to do list", so will be good to catch up with everyone again.
The holiday is on Tues this year.
Any queries or offers of prizes give me a call 0427183317. seeya in Jan. Maxa

Sorry to semi change the topic, but I'm planning on going over to the west coast for a week or two after Christmas. I was thinking of doing a road trip around the eyre peninsula sailing, surfing and checking out beaches and national parks. I haven't found a huge amount of information about anything really. Does anyone have tips of places to go (and not go) and other must dos in the area? Any help from people who know the area would be awesome!! Cheers

Thats a big question or three to answer. I am off work until the 6th of jan. Give me a yell for some info if your around the place before then.

There are plenty of Nat parks, beaches, towns etc. to checkout. It all depends on how far you want to go or where you would like to base yourself.

Haha the sad part is, whenever I look up any town or place over there all it comes up with is sharks!!
I can deal with grumpy men it'll feel just like home! I was thinking of beginning at streaky bay and heading south along the coast to port Lincoln. So if anyone has any must dos and must sees that would be great!
Will be keen to sail with others to so may give you a buzz. Thanks for the help!

Hi Zac I live in Streaky Bay and sail on my own all the time. There are some good spots around here would be glad to have someone to sail with. I have only just registered on seabreeze (first Post) so not sure how to send contact details.

Hi Alan,

We spend all of April at Streaky every year and I'm always keen to have someone to sail with.
Only sail the bay but gets a big wind shadow in front of the caravan park in southerlies.
Have always wanted to sail at Sceale bay but not on my own.
Have had some good winds at times but chickened out as no one to sail with.
Where do you normally sail?

Cheers Neville

Quick update -Barnaby From Severne & Simon from Dexter Surf have been generous once again and are supplying some gear for prizes/handouts. Good work
Forecast looks a bit light on for wind till maybe Sunday then looks ok through to Thurs,
Could I have a show of hands who's coming & when so we've got a rough idea on numbers.

Thanks Scotty, you will have to lead the charge in the wild turkey department.
Had a surprise sail yest arvo. Small waves, waist to shoulder and a few bit bigger ones further down. Bit of fun on 5.3 Blade and 86 Nuevo.
Cain and Kurt were out as well. Even the odd jump.
Hey Pilly, unfortunately the dream is over on Weds, back to work after 4 weeks off.
