I have had the opportunity to try the new Simmer SC Race 7m last weekend.
The first thing I noticed was how light it is and ease rotation of the cams on the beach. As I was keen to try it I rigged it up when I usually would have used my 7.8m sail
(around 18-23 knots) on my 67 wide CA. On my first bear away I had 38 knot max speed and I was very surprised as it did not seem to be that windy and the water was quite choppy as the lake levels have been up with all the rain. Heading back up wind I was comfortable powered up and I found that I was pointing higher than used to!
I found the sail easy to sail and gybe.
Thanks Gareth for the opportunity to try the sail and I can't wait to get back on the water with it!

Johnny taking it for a spin!
