For those that have not been down to have a look its basically all finished. Some roped off grass area near stairs to allow new grass to grow, still plenty of rigging space. Stairs still intact, carpark open.
It was a bit duanting the first time I carried my gear down the steps, so I carried the board and sail separately in 2 trips
Once you get used to it, carrying the board and sail together is pretty straightforward.
It has the advantage of not being effected by tide (except in really low tides). All other sailing spots on the bay (except for Queens beach at Redcliff) are severly effected by tide, with long carries (up to 100m) through the mud, rocks and shellfish, with any tide lower than mid tide.
