Not windsurfing but a great event unfolding in our backyard

Results from day one of the warm up event, the fleet has 10 previous world champs, America's Cup sailors, Olympians and Round the world sailors.

Matt Chew (the skipper of Gen XY) is a local moth sailor who made that great video with his drone of the last race of the Raceboard Worlds for us in 2016.
Currently 4th in a fleet of 73 after the 1st race of the warm up Regatta which started today.

Start line 1.2km

Quality field. Those guys know a thing or two about tuning. That's an awesome photo of the start.

...Jacob would be drooling at the sight of that!

That's impressive, very cool. We could never get that many sails on the water at Bribie Sailing Club

Saw them out the back of Green on Sunday while sailing at wello. I was wondering what was going on.
would have been tuff conditions out there.

According to the RQ facebook page a knockdown on Saturday resulted in a collision with another boat. One of them began to sink and had to be towed in and hauled out for repairs.

More damage to the fleet yesterday with crews expected to be working into the night to be ready to race again today.

I took some of the photos on the Sunday and will be doing every day of the worlds. Don't have access to my photos while at work but here is a link if you want to see some of them on FB.
