Just had a session on windfoil at Happy Valley. Forecast SW wind only turned up for about 20 minutes. A few short rides on the fringe of beach break 2-3 foot have convinced me to definitely go back.
Cross off conditions and reasonably consistent. Those of you out there who are not on foil check it out for float and ride.
Google Earth doesn't show the acres of sand that was the bar...
Should post here next time. Might join you.
Will do, was only a half hour session but still frothing shooting off down the line and forgetting the sail maybe my new addiction!! Access to outside of new bar looks reasonable in decent wind also
@ Gestalt. Sunday looks 12ish knots and small swell.
Planning early session... sweet on foil. Message me if you are keen
Tomorrow, forecast is good. Not much swell though....See you there if you are retired or lucky enough not to be working
We had two sessions, one before and one after lunch. On the 4m for the early session and the 5 for the latter. The following is a short video I took of Jayson and Gavin playing in the small waves just after I arrived. Well worth the drive north.
Half the carparks on the northern end are shut off for upgrades. Was good between 9 and 11.

Yeah will go earlier next time. The water looked so good. No waves though. I ended up finding a park at kings beach and walked around to have a look. Went go carting instead
on the way to landsborough I swung by Mooloolaba and it looked great as well. Maybe more wind? But no waves. Will definitely try Mooloolaba again in a wsw-w
Another great session in Sundays SWer, Jayson having fun in the 15 to 20kts and small swell
