A patchy 13-18 knot SE got the first 3 races away in Bayside's second round of the season yesterday. More than a few of the favourites were OCS in the first race, and most of the fleet were over in the second leading to a general recall. A few pile-ups followed at the gybe marks, creating the usual pandemonium we know and love.
We also had a trial run of foil and fin in the same race, which went very well. A lot of detail to figure out, but the committee are keen to try and bring the two together if it can be done safely. Watch this space!
After a short hydration break the breeze kicked up to the low 20s, making the racing just that little bit more hectic. Plenty of smiles all around at the after-racing BBQ showed a well-enjoyed day!
