Will try and get a shot of conditions at Birubi on way home from work this arvo...

Can someone tell me which are the best spots in Sydney for a westerly? Ideally, in reasonable distance from Potts Point where I live and Pyrmont where I work?
I have a sailing deficit and plan to go tomorrow before work. It gets light at 6am and I'd like to get 1.5hours in before going to work. Anyone wants to join?
take day off and go to lake illawarra :)
if ya cant do that then foreshore drive botany along the runway is prob the only place
Thanks :)
Day off is not really an option plus I don't have a weed fin. What about Kurnell?
Where do you launch and park on the foreshore drive? Here? www.google.com/maps/place/Port+Botany+Boat+Ramp/@-33.9577536,151.1978555,644m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x8de4ce92a8a2f81d
La perouse (sw to w), Kurnell (w to nw) or foreshore road (sw to nw).
Best wind will be Kurnell and la perouse as its a little less gusty... If that's possible in anything west.
oh and in SSW you can try dolls point... Some also sail Rosebay in the harbour in a westerly.

Rosebay is around the corner - would be keen to try it. Launch point would be good to know.
I think some people launch from Woollahra Sailing Club and I seem to remember Dumareq Reserve being an option. The problem with any spots East of the the sailing club will be parking.
Personally I used to sail La Perouse in anything West. It's got plenty of parking and you have the option of launching from the beach if you don't like the little strip between the rocks.
A is the main carpark. You'll almost always get a park here, especially in winter. It's free for ages, 12 hours i think. Bit of a trek with all your rigged gear to...
B is the launch point. If you're lucky you'll get a carpark right there. There are about 4.
C is the alternate park and launch point. Parking is much harder but a better spot.
Being a westerly it's going to be gusty as hell but it's not a bad spot in a westerly. Clean chop compared to other directions. Kinda cool to be looking upwind to the Opera House when you are out in the harbour some more. Perhaps worth it for that unique experience alone.
LOOK OUT FOR OYSTERS at launch point B. I have scars.
