That is insane. It raises so many questions. Does the front guy have to duck low during the sail flip....How many stacks before they nailed it......How much bouy room do you have to give them......has the front guy got any teeth left, must be a very bumpy ride...any others

Well, at least their uncle gave them his old world record-breaking tandem. Or so it seems to me.

I remember sailing close to a mate and sitting on the front of his slalom board and sailing "tandem" for a while. It really felt like we went faster than we did individually. A form of synergism perhaps.

Well, sorry for my pathetic post above. It was meant to be a link, but doesn't work. I don't know how to edit it. Ouch!

for some reason there's a time out on the edit button, you have to be quick.

Mr Sailquik has a tandem... so he and I have been out a few times. Lets just say that I now always wear a helmet - and that is taken from real-world experience.

The front rider actually gets a really smooth ride - not bumpy at all. But the also feel like they are being thrown forward, as they really cannot sheet-in too far, as the sail/airflow stalls the rear sail.

Yes, on closer inspection, that looks like the record tandem. What there me at the first viewing was that it looked a bit too big, but now I realise the sailors are smaller than AA and CB.

My mistake. It was SBWC who had one. Not sure of the specs.
