]here is something to keep you going.

(if you turn the sound right up at the end you may just hear the speed talk announcement of 39 point something. )

Sound is fantastic, because brings this sense of reality and speed.
I feel like sailing already.Any music instead will make this popular clip, but kill that thrill.
BTW I thought that water is flatter, seems to be a bit challenging, unless this is optical illusion and sun angle magnify the chop.

I wonder how often spin outs happen there taking into account ultra small fins and how easy or difficult is to handle at speed.
Must be awfully scary to get your board going sideways suddenly at such speed (?)
What would be approx wind speed at video ? 25 ktn?

This was coming acress the middle of the lake where there are small waves, and bearing away into the flatter water off the 5 mile launch spot. We both just peaked at 40 on this run. Where it is flat it is just small ripples. You can hear the ripple chatter on the video. No spinouts at all on the right fins.

Challenging for one, I gave up after 12km but I'll be back, I can only improve. Lots of great friendly sailors to learn from

Some photos from today, not on any speed runs, they're just coming back to the 5 mile launch.

Watching this pretty much sums up the reason I've had a grin from ear to ear since my first ever session at LG on Saturday. This place is amazing!!

Looks like it was a great day at Lake George, with lots of PBs. I noticed that a lot of sessions were with Tectonic Speed Demons. I'm thinking about getting a few. Can someone maybe give some feedback on these? How do they hold in moderate chop, what sizes to get (62-112 l boards), and so on? Thanks!

I've got the 19 and 17, really like them, using in 55w and 49w boards with 5.5/6.2/7.0, hold well in chop, great getting upwind, thinking about getting the 21 for my bigger board.

Thanks! I ordered 17, 19, 21, and 23 after seeing all those numbers. Hard to imagine anyone doing 35-38 knots and 200 to 421 km on a fin that's not good!
