OK Folks time to Advertise the GTC Prize Weekend Mandurah 28th & 29th Nov 2009.

At this stage and this is open to change the forecast says Sunday 29th will be presentation day!!

However,. Saturday looking good also, so maybe Saturday can be fun and practice day?

Sundays Agenda will be:

All day sailing!!!!!!

12.30 to 2pm BBQ Predominantly BYO, but some bread and snags will be supplied free.

2.30pm Prize Draw

3.30m pm Informal Racing Boat Ramp Sandbar to Scientific Platform. As many Races until you get sick of it!!!!!!

If WWA wanna bring some Bouys Down and its windy we could do some Slalom?

Let me know what ya think.

A Few People have suggested to me, a SWAP Meet for the day? Bring gear along and advertise it?

KA have announced their the Prize sail. 2009 KA Koncept 5m, or by negotiation you can update to a 2010!!!!!

I think we should add a warning here about the floating weed Islands.
There's a lot of them spread over the whole course, (except the inside run, but that will probably be too shallow on the weekend).
They are so dense that, yesterday at low tide, hardie and I could both stand on one without getting our feet wet!!!!!
Even with a weed fin on you'll come to a dead stop if you hit one.
They are very hard to see, floating just under the surface.

Also see my post about remarking the rocks at hardy's, on how to miss the rocks.

That shouldn't be too bad, most likely place to meet them would be straight out from the green roofed gazebo at Len Howard's reserve. I waded out to them yesterday, but didn't site thru to the novara sand bank and platform. My guess is you should just miss the outer ones.
