Today I sailed 3 sessions across the day, I tried to upload them to the GPS Team Challenge web site but It only lets me post one session. Is there a way to combine all my files from my GT-31 for the day to come up with one total.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks...Jason.
Yep, there sure is, but it depends what software you're using, they're all different.
Realspeed is a bit tricky, I'll try to remember the sequence.
First open your earliest file normally, then don't "open" your 2nd file, use the "import" function instead.
(File >import)
Then click the "view" button and tick divisions.
Right click over "Track Files", click on "Create combined file).
When realspeed finishes combining them, click on the combined file to select it.
I haven't tried more than 2 sessions, but I think it should work, if you import all sessions after the 1st one, tghen do the combine thing.
I have a feeling there may be a guide to this on the GTC site as well.
I also have a feeling that the KA72 site may automatically combine same date files, but not sure about that.
If you're using GPSarPro, it's a bit easier, you open the sessions normally, then in the "tracks toolbox" you can use the combine files function, it's just a matter of selecting which files to combine.
The free ka72 site doesn't combine files. However, if you dump your internal memory to a SBP file then ka72 can process that. (Effectively you are getting the GT-31 to combine your files for you.)
On your GPS go to Data Logger, Save to Card.
The GPS will write a new file on your SD card which can be uploaded to ka72.com and will contain a bunch of sessions joined together.
This is also a good tip for if your gps ever fails to write a file, or if your sd card is damaged.
This all depends on you having your gps set up right as at the mt best website.
Dylan.
in GPS results when you are going to open files you need to select all files but strictly in order of real timing. Click on first file, then with CONTROL click on second and third.
There is message "average files", hit NO, then "concatenate files", click YES
You will notice that number of trackpoints are summed. At this point just save trackpoint as new one sbn navi file, and that's it in GPSR
Try to open and it is working
